Does the Estee Lauder Idealist Even Skintone Illuminator work?

I used to have bad acne and now I鈥檓 left with redness and acne scars. I came across the Estee Lauder Idealist Skintone Illuminator and it has a lot of positive reviews but it鈥檚 a little pricey son I want to be sure it isn鈥檛 a rip off before I get it.
